Passion for health

My journey in chiropractic started when I was 16 years old. At that stage I had played 10 years of competitive rugby league at various levels, including Regional and NRL School Boy competitions and my body had taken a beating to say the least.  After my initial course of care, I was blown away with the results and how my chiropractor was able to turn things around for me. He showed me that 100% health is a normal state of being and is achievable.

I began to learn about the human body, the nervous system and the role that chiropractors can play in overall HEALTH. Not just pain or injuries, but helping people achieve HEALTH goals they never imagined, and so my passion for health and wellbeing and helping others achieve theirs began.

I am passionate about the human form and it’s carefully assembled finely balanced association of muscles, bones, joints and tissue. I appreciate its delicate nature and how it can be prone to improper alignment such as abnormal bends, incorrect twists and faulty shifts. These often shows up as poor posture, in turn resulting in poor health, pain and compromised function of the entire body. I am evidenced informed and make certain that the type of care I choose matches my patients’ needs and preferences while ensuring that the treatments provided are effective and safe.

 Achievements

I hold a Bachelor of Science (Chiropractic) with Distinction and was awarded the Chiropractors Association of Australia, Queensland academic achievement prize that year and have completed a Masters of Clinical Chiropractic with distinction from Central Queensland University. In addition to that I also hold a Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) from Queensland University of Technology.

To continuously provide my patients with the best care possible, I am active in attending extracurricular conferences and seminars in relation to the spine and health in general, including becoming certified in Active Release Technique (ART) Spine 1, Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC), The Activator Method, Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT), Thompson technique and various rehabilitation protocols.

Outside the clinic

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending quality time with my beautiful wife and two girls Bella and Anastasia. I also enjoy spending time at the beach, paddle boarding, snorkelling, boating and fishing.
